Additional casting has been announced for The National Alliance for Musical Theatre’s 29th annual festival of new musicals. Among the new cast members are Broadway actors Danielle Lee Greaves (A Streetcar Named Desire), Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful), Janine LaManna (The Drowsy Chaperone), Chris McCarrell (Les Misérables), Kevyn Morrow (Bandstand), John Rubinstein (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Hannah Shankman (Side Show), Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress), and NaTasha Yvette Williams (A Night with Janis Joplin).

They join the previously announced Ciara Renée, George Salazar, Adam Chanler-Berat, Will Roland, and more. NAMT will kick off October 18 with the return of its concert show, The 46th Minute, and will run October 19–20 at New World Stages.
The industry-only event will showcase eight new musicals, selected out of 240 blind submissions, with a roster of songwriters, book writers, and lyricists that includes David Darrow, Daniel Zaitchik, Niko Tsakalakos, Imani Uzuri, Oran Eldor, and more.
Every year, the industry-only event presents new works in development to producers and artists from around the world. Musicals at the festival are presented in 45-minute concert presentations over two days.

Partially inspired by Sophocles' Antigone, the show is an intimate exploration of love that goes beyond faith between a queer Pakistani-American man and his deeply devout mother.
