The Broadway Sings concert series offers Broadway Sings Whitney Houston January 8 at 8 PM at Sony Hall. The evening is produced and directed by Corey Mach.
Featured performers include Tony nominee Shoshana Bean (Hell's Kitchen), Charity Angél Dawson (& Juliet), Eleri Ward (Only Gold), Olivia Donalson (Six), Jasmine Forsberg (Six), Angela Birchett (The Color Purple), Brian Justin Crum (America’s Got Talent), Bre Jackson (MJ), Taylor Iman Jones (Six), Liisi LaFontaine (Moulin Rouge!), Aramie Payton (MJ), Corey Mach (Merrily We Roll Along), Meecah (Hamilton), Anne Fraser Thomas (Titanique), Hailee Kaleem Wright (Six), Kailey Boyle (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Katherine Thomas (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Àngel Lozada (Bad Cinderella).
Backed by a 14-piece orchestra, performers will pay tribute to the late eight time Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston with their renditions of her songs, including “I Will Always Love You," “So Emotional," “I Have Nothing,” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Music is arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes, with Ben Moss (Oratorio for Living Things) serving as music director.
Broadway Sings was created in 2012, and has presented shows featuring the music of Beyoncé, The Beatles, Rihanna, Adele, and more. Upcoming concerts also include Broadway Sings Queen and Broadway Sings Taylor Swift.
