Cabaret & Concert News Casting Set for Free Premiere of Joey Contreras Song Cycle In Pieces The evening will be held in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library.

Broadway’s Future Songbook Series, which is presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow, will conclude its 26th season May 22 in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street.

Produced, directed, and hosted by John Znidarsic, the evening will offer the premiere of In Pieces, a new work by songwriter Joey Contreras. Show time is 6 PM for the free performance.

The new song cycle In Pieces threads Contreras' musical theatre and pop catalog into a theatrical setting, exploring the universal search for clarity and empowerment through different kinds of relationships.

The evening will feature the talents of Brad Greer, Melanie Brook, Tyler Jent, Stevi Incremona, Michael Williams, and Mia Gerachis.

Contreras is an award-winning musical pop songwriter from California whose albums include Love Me, Love Me Not and Young Kind of Love. His musicals with librettist-lyricist Kate Thomas include Ring Around (O'Neill NMTC Finalist) and Forget Me Not. Recently, he wrote the music and lyrics for the Disney Junior animated short Kiwi's First Flight.
