Full casting has been revealed for the upcoming co-world premiere production of Mike Lew (Teenage Dick)'s tiny father, set to play June 25-July 22 at Barrington Stage Company in Massachusetts (opening night June 30) and August 4-17 at New York's Chautauqua Theater Company. Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God) is directing.
Andy Lucien (The Blacklist, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) will star as David opposite Jennifer Ikeda (Top Girls) as Caroline.
The semi-autobiographical work follows a new father whose daughter is born prematurely at just 26 weeks. "When I first became a parent, I knew the experience would fundamentally alter my perspective, but becoming a NICU parent was another experience entirely," said Lew of the new work's inspiration in an earlier statement.
The production will feature scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Alan C. Edwards, and sound design by Uptown Works. Andrew Petrick is production stage manager with Alden Kennedy as assistant stage manager.
