Casting Announced for U.K./Ireland Tour of Billy Elliot Musical | Playbill

News Casting Announced for U.K./Ireland Tour of Billy Elliot Musical Principal adult casting has been announced for the first-ever U.K./Ireland tour of Billy Elliot the Musical, which, as previously reported, is to bow out of the West End April 9, 2016, after a run of some 4,600 performances. The tour will open ahead of that, however, so for a time there will be two productions of the show playing simultaneously in the U.K.

McLaughlin's extensive West End musical theatre credits include Matilda, Chicago and Anything Goes. She has also appeared with the RSC in The Jew of Malta, Measure for Measure and Volpone.

Walsh is currently filming "Rovers" for Sky 1. Other TV credits include "Game of Thrones," "Downton Abbey" and "Coronation Street."

Garnham's West End credits include Les Misérables, I Can't Sing and Made In Dagenham.

Miller has appeared in numerous musicals, including Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Blood Brothers, Annie and Sister Act. The company also includes Phillip Aiden, Jonathan Alden, Leo Atkin, Tom Bainbridge, Deborah Bundy, Jack Butterworth, Luke Cinque-White, Donna Combe, Wayne Fitzsimmons, Nikki Gerrard, Abbie Louise Harris, Paul Hutton, Leon Kay, Charlie Martin, Kris Manuel, Barnaby Meredith, Daniel Page, Georgina Parkinson, Amy Rhiannon-Worth, Rachel Spurrell, Sebastian Sykes, Rafe Watts and Luke Zammit. The children of the first U.K. and Ireland tour will be announced in early 2016.

The production is directed by Stephen Daldry, with choreography by Peter Darling. It is designed by Ian MacNeil, with costumes by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting by Rick Fisher and sound design by Paul Arditti. The associate director is Julian Webber, and musical supervision and orchestrations are by Martin Koch.

It is presented by Universal Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions and is based on the Universal Pictures/Studio Canal film. The show is produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Jon Finn and Sally Greene. Angela Morrison and David Furnish are executive producers.
