Additional casting has been revealed for the two upcoming concert performances of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the London Palladium, held November 24 at 2:30 and 7:30 PM. Marking 20 years since the musical premiered at San Diego's Old Globe, the concerts will be directed by Rupert Hands.
As previously reported, Ramin Karimloo (Les Misérables, City Center Encores! Titanic) and Hadley Fraser (The Pirate Queen, Les Misérables) will lead the cast as Freddy Benson and Laurence Jamieson, respectively. Joining them will be Cameron Blakely (Mrs. Doubtfire, Something Rotten!) as Inspector Andre and Alex Young (Standing at the Sky's Edge, Into the Woods) as Jolene Oaks.
The cast will also include the previously announced Carly Mercedes Dyer as Christine Colgate and Janie Dee as Muriel Eubanks.
The concerts, which will also feature a live orchestra and the Mountainview Choir, are produced by Lambert Jackson and Positive Sum.
Based on the 1988 movie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels features a score by David Yazbek and a book by Jeffrey Lane. The 2005 Broadway premiere, co-starring John Lithgow and Norbert Leo Butz, was nominated for 11 Tony Awards with Butz winning the Tony for Best Actor in a Musical.
