Congratulations are in order! Broadway's Kenita Miller, who is currently Tony nominated for her performance in for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf, has welcomed her first child, a daughter named Nova Pearl.
Nova Pearl was born May 26, only two days after Miller left for colored girls... on maternity leave. The birth was announced on social media by Miller and her partner, musician Justin Hicks.
Miller uploaded this photo to her instagram, with the following caption

Well known for her roles in Once on This Island, The Color Purple, Come From Away, and Xanadu, for colored girls... is Miller's first Tony nomination.
