Broadway & Beyond has set a virtual networking event for BIPOC stage managers for January 24, 6-8:30 PM ET. The event, which will be introduced by Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, will connect stage managers of color with industry professionals for personalized advice and consideration for upcoming jobs.

Those interested can register for the event at BroadwayBeyondAccess.com through 9 PM ET January 18. Space is limited at the event, with participation capped at 80. Attendees will directly engage with panelists in small break-out groups, with panelists receiving participants' résumés ahead of time.

The industry-professional panelists will include production supervisors, stage managers, and producers from a number of organizations on Broadway and beyond.

Representing Broadway will be individuals from 101 Productions, RCI Theatricals, Foresight Theatrical, 321 Theatrical Management, Joey Parnes Productions, Bespoke Theatricals, Blair Russell Productions, and Disney Theatrical Productions, with representatives from Second Stage Theatre, MCC Theater, Center Stage Company, Vineyard Theatre, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Manhattan Theatre Club for Off-Broadway.

For the touring market, Work Light Productions, Troika Entertainment, and NETworks will have representatives available, as will regional theatre and opera companies The Metropolitan Opera, Broadway Sacramento, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Musicals, Berkeley Rep, St. Louis MUNY, The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, Dallas Theater Center, Alliance Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, and American Theatre Group.

Broadway & Beyond: Access for Stage Managers of Color, led by stage managers Lisa Dawn Cave, Beverly Jenkins, Jimmie Lee Smith, and Kenneth J. McGee, looks to connect early to mid-career BIPOC stage managers with industry professionals through regular networking events.

Alumni of the program have accepted 43 jobs (including 11 in the current Broadway season) via connections made through the program since launching in December 2020.
