The world premiere of Get Up Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, the new bio-musical inspired by the life and songs of the late Marley, will play its final performance at London's Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue January 8, 2023. The musical officially opened October 20, 2021, following previews that began October 1.
Following the West End run, the Olivier-nominated musical will embark on a U.K. tour with details to be announced. The production is also planning international engagements, with discussions underway in Europe and North and South America. A cast recording featuring the original cast, including Olivier nominee Arinzé Kene, will be released later this year. Michael Duke currently heads the cast of the London production.

Directed by Clint Dyer, the musical features a book by Tony winner Lee Hall, choreography by Shelley Maxwell, set design by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Lisa Duncan, lighting design by Charles Balfour, sound design by Tony Gayle, orchestrations by Simon Hale, and musical direction by Sean Green with casting by Pippa Ailion. Rounding out the creative team are musical supervisor Phil Bateman, sound effects designer Ben Grant, video designer Tal Yarden, and wigs, hair, and make-up designer Campbell Young.
Get Up Stand Up! was nominated for four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, winning the award for Best Orchestrations.
