The Donmar Warehouse revival of Sweet Charity, which begins London previews April 6, has assembled a rotating lineup of West End stars to play limited engagements as Daddy Brubeck, the transfixing leader of the Rhythm of Life Church.

The initial slate includes Shaq Taylor (April 6–13), Olivier Award winner Adrian Lester (April 15–27), Le Gateau Chocolat (beginning April 29), Olivier-nominated Bodyguard star Beverley Knight (beginning May 6), and Clive Rowe (beginning May 13). Additional guest stars are to be announced.

Donmar Artistic Director Josie Rourke directs Sweet Charity, which stars the previously announced Anne-Marie Duff (Heisenberg, the National's Macbeth) as Charity Hope Valentine and Arthur Darvill (Once) as Oscar. Choreography is by Wayne McGgregor.

Sweet Charity opens April 17. Performances are scheduled through June 8.

The Sweet Charity design team is comprised of designer Robert Jones, musical supervisor Gareth Valentine, lighting designer Mark Henderson, sound designer Nick Lidster for Autograph, orchestrators Larry Blank and Mark Cumberland, and video designer Finn Ross. Casting is by David Grindrod CDG.

Originally directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse (who also helmed the film adaptation), Sweet Charity boasts a Cy Coleman-Dorothy Fields score and a book by Neil Simon, adapting the Fellini film Nights of Cabiria. The original production starred Fosse's wife and collaborator Gwen Verdon, earning her a Tony Award nomination. The show was nominated for a total of nine, winning Best Choreography for Fosse.
