Industry News Ars Nova to Honor Alex Timbers at 2024 Nova Ball

The Tony-winning director is known for Moulin Rouge!, Here Lies Love, Gutenberg!, and more.

Ars Nova will honor Tony and Golden Globe-winning director Alex Timbers at its annual Nova Ball. The event is set for February 5, 2024 at 130 Bowery in Manhattan. 

Timbers' Broadway directing credits include Gutenberg! The Musical!Moulin Rouge! The MusicalHere Lies LoveBeetlejuice, and more. In the early days of his career, Timbers directed Ars Nova productions of Dixie's Tupperware Party in 2007 and boom in 2008. 

The 2024 Nova Ball will begin with a cocktail party, followed by dinner and a surprise-filled show, plus a live auction. Proceeds from the event will support Ars Nova's new work development programs and world premiere productions.

The event is co-chaired by Jenny and Jon Steingart and Tara and Brian Swibel.
