The satirical video from Avenue Q is the latest in a string of responses from the theatre community in light of the AT&T advertisements and tweets; see the AT&T ad and more details here. 

Many theatre artists spoke passionately via their social media accounts, and Patti LuPone issued a passionate statement to Playbill.com. "To the AT&T spokesperson: What altered reality do you live in? And why do you assume I live there, too?" read the statement. Read LuPone's full response here. The two-time Tony Award winner drew much support from fellow actors when she snatched a cell phone from an audience member during a performance of her show Shows For Days earlier this summer.
