Mrs. Gordon, who was known to all by the nickname "Spook," had her first Broadway credit as production stage manager in 1998, with the drama Side Man.

Following that show, she worked regularly on Broadway, often on shows featuring high-profile stars, directors and playwrights. She was production stage manager for revivals of Uncle Vanya, The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Man Who Had All the Luck, All My Sons and Design for Living. She also worked on the award-winning original Broadway productions of I Am My Own Wife and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Off-Broadway, she worked on the plays Arts and Leisure, Baby Anger, I Am My Own Wife, Police Boys and The Springhill Singing Disaster.

"Spook was a longtime, dear friend and champion of BC/EFA’s," said Tom Viola, executive director of that organization. "Spook was always an enthusiastic and joyful supporter, determined to engage her casts in whatever we were doing in the course of their runs. Over the years, Spook led the fundraising efforts at Design for Living, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, I Am My Own Wife and All My Sons. But few have stepped up and led an entire company’s efforts the way Spook kept the fires burning for us at The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for nearly three years.

Born to William and Ruth Testani and raised in Hornell as one of eight brothers and sisters, she graduated from Hornell High School, earned her B.A. in Theatre form Elmira College, and her MFA in Directing from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She taught stage management at Fordham.

Through GiveFoward and Facebook posts, groups from BC/EFA to IATSE to the Broadway Softball League supported Mrs. Gordon during her illness, collecting more than $45,000.

She is survived by her husband, John Gordon, and two sons, Robert and Sean.
