Aisha Jackson, whose Broadway credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Waitress, Paradise Square, and Once Upon A One More Time, joins the cast of The Notebook beginning October 25 at the Schoenfeld Theatre.

Jackson, who made history as the first Black actor to play the role of Anna in Disney's Frozen, is stepping into the role of Middle Allie, succeeding original cast member Joy Woods, who played her final performance October 20. Jackson was supposed to begin her run October 22 but had to delay her start date because of an injury. Middle Allie was played by understudies Hillary Fisher and Kim Onah in the interim.

Woods will join her former Notebook co-star Jordan Tyson in the cast of the upcoming Audra McDonald-led Broadway revival of Gypsy.

The current cast of The Notebook features Tony winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie, Tony nominee Dorian Harewood as Older Noah, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, Anna Zavelson as Younger Allie, Benji Santiago as Younger Noah, Andréa Burns as Mother/Nurse Lori, and Carson Stewart as Johnny/Fin with Yassmin Alers, Alex Benoit, Chase Del Rey, Hillary Fisher, Jerome Harmann-Hardeman, Dorcas Leung, Happy McPartlin, Juliette Ojeda, Kim Onah, Charles E. Wallace, and Charlie Webb.
