Her latest will be that of Susan Traherne, a British secret agent who served as a spy for the French Resistance during World War II in David Hare’s Plenty. SNL regular Jason Sudeikis will take on the role of professor John Keating in the anticipated stage adaptation of Dead Poets Society at Classic Stage Company. Tony Shalhoub in The Band's Visit
Catch Monk star Tony Shalhoub at the Atlantic Theater in the world premiere of The Band’s Visit, the new musical based on the award-winning film of the same name. With a book by Itamar Moses and music and lyrics by David Yazbek, the story sees an Egyptian police band stranded in a small Israeli town on their way to a concert. Starry Concerts and Cabarets

The fall season is filled with a score of starry concerts and solo cabaret shows worth seeing. Joshua Henry and Cynthia Erivo are set to star in Jason Robert Brown’s one-night-only concert staging of The Last Five Years (September 12); New York City Center will revive Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved Sunday in the Park with George with Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford (October 25 and 26); and Kelli O’Hara and Will Chase will headline a Roundabout Theatre Company concert reading of the classic musical comedy Kiss Me, Kate (December 12). Uptown, Tony winner Laura Benanti will make her Café Carlyle debut with her solo show Tales from Soprano Isle (September 27-October 8).
