Holiday Coverage 31 Days of Holiday Cheer: Idina Menzel and Billy Porter Sing 'I Got My Love to Keep Me Warm'

Tune in every day this month as we share holiday music videos from our favorite Broadway stars, as well as a few new original videos.

The last slice of pumpkin pie has been gobbled and the parade has officially passed by. And here in New York City, it has gotten downright cold. But all of that just means that the winter holidays are here!

Every day this December, Playbill will be getting into the spirit of the season with 31 Days of Holiday Cheer—sharing some of our favorite music videos from Broadway stars. Check in daily for classic tunes and new songs about Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's. And we even have some surprise new, original Playbill videos to share.

First, let's warm up with Tony winners Idina Menzel and Billy Porter singing the standard "I Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." The two recorded the Irving Berlin tune for Menzel’s 2019 album, Christmas: A Season of Love. Watch the video above.

Porter can be seen in the upcoming film Our Son, releasing December 8. He and Luke Evans star as a divorcing couple in a custody battle over their young son.

Menzel will soon be back on stage, starring in the world premiere of the musical Redwood at La Jolla Playhouse. Conceived by Menzel and director Tina Landau, Menzel plays a successful business woman, wife, and mother who runs away from her life to the redwoods of Northern California. The show features a book by Landau, music by Kate Diaz, and lyrics by Landau and Diaz. Performances begin February 13, 2024.

Happy December! And come back tomorrow for the next video in our 31 Days of Holiday Cheer series.
