SHOW DESCRIPTION:
Angela Bassett, Wicked, Lana Del Rey, EVERY Beyonce Album (well, now besides Cowboy Carter), Toni Collette, The Great Comet of 1812, DEMI MOORE. What do they all have in common? They have all been ROBBED! Us theater performers can all relate to that! Whether it was a role, a show, an award, a character type, etc, we all have been personally ROBBED. Back by popular demand, we are here to reclaim those robberies and honor what should've been ours! AGAIN! But this time, we are honoring our favorite robbed MUSICALS! Think West Side Story, Ragtime, Come From Away, Follies, Into The Woods, Hair, Next To Normal, Sunday In The Park With George, Great Comet, Wicked, and more! Get ready for another night of camp, buffoonery, riggory, and straight tom foolery!
SEEKING:
12-16 Performers with great personalities who can convey messages through song and entertain an audience. Will have a solo number, as well as being featured in 2-3 other numbers. ***Also will be required to sell a minimum of 6 in person tickets for the show***
Performers who sell 6 or more in person tickets will also receive a stipend.
*Actively seeking LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC performers*
IMPORTANT DATES (MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL TO BE CONSIDERED):
We will have a total of 4-5 rehearsals before the show. One private music rehearsal and 3-4 company rehearsals. All rehearsals will be held in Brooklyn (Bushwick) with the exception of the sitz probe/dress rehearsal which will take place in Midtown Manhattan. The rehearsal schedule is still getting finalized, but rehearsals will take place between July 28th-August 21st.
Performance: Thursday, August 21st at The Green Room 42
- Sound Check - 4:15pm-5:45pm
- Show - 7:00pm
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: ASAP, but by 12:00pm June 22nd at the LATEST
