The REV on Tour is one of the largest in-school tours of its kind. Annually, about 60,000 students throughout New York State receive performances and workshops from our company of professional actors. These performances and workshops are tailored and crafted to meet the specific needs at each grade level, and they happen directly in the school building. The REV on Tour is seeking a female-presenting actor/ musician for their productions of ECHOES and Improv for All. This actor would be contracted for both of these productions. Stronger consideration will be given to actors who play one or more of the following instruments: piano, guitaur, ukulele or percussion. Previous improv experience is helpful, but not required.

ECHOES is a show that is created completely from the writing of Middle School Students. The cast and creative team create a showase (which includes original music) created from the best writing submissions from Middle School students across New York State.

Improv for All is combines comedy improv and sketch comedy to highlight and tach high school students how they can apply the foundational skills of improv to their life.

Contract Details:

Contract Title: Actor/Educator, Echoes Creative Writing Competition and Showcase (Grades 6-8) and Improv for All (High School Show).

Contract Dates: Feb 5th-April 25th, 2025 (with a possible extension to May 2nd, 2025)

Remote reading of Echoes Submissions January 2nd- Jan 13th, 2025

Arrival Date: Feb 4th, 2025

First Rehearsal Date (Echoes and Improv rehearse simultaneously): Feb 5th, 2025

Echoes Final Dress: Feb 24th, 2025

Echoes First Performance Date: Feb 25th, 2025

Improv First Performance Date: March 26th, 2025

Contract Responsibilities: Reading creative writing submissions from middle school students as part of the Echoes process. Assist with the creation of the Echoes showcase. Performing in a 45-minute production of Echoes. Assist with the creation of Improv for All. Performing in a 50-minute production of Improv For All. Driving the company vehicle on a regular basis. Assisting with loading in and out all sets, props and costumes into each performance site.

Pay:

The Actor/ Educator will receive $485.25 weekly. Overtime will be paid in the amount of $23.25 per hour. Remote training/ work is paid at $15.50/ hour. Housing is provided and is assigned based on availability.

All REV on Tour company members must have a clean, valid driver's license and be up to date on all COVID-19 vaccinations.
