Book News Tony Nominee Kathleen Chalfant Goes Behind the Scenes of Metabook's Recording Sessions in Audio Artistry The acclaimed actor recently recorded Kathleen R. Sands’ The Face Phantom.

In Audio Artistry, the video short above from Metabook creator Benjamin Alfonsi, Tony Award nominee Kathleen Chalfant and director Robin Miles discuss the process of recording an audiobook.

Chalfant, the stage and screen star who was Tony-nominated for her performance in the original Broadway production of Angels in America, explains that although the processes of performing a play and recording an audiobook are different, “the result you want to be the same—the illusion of the first time.”

Miles, an Audible Hall of Fame inductee, also explains her role in the creation of the Metabook audiobook for Kathleen R. Sands’ The Face Phantom: Tales Inspired by the Mütter Museum. Take a look above.
