The new Off-Broadway musical is written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley.

The new Off-Broadway musical, The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse, has begun performances at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Opening night is on May 13, for a limited run through June 1. Take a first look at the production in the photos below.

The cast includes original Matilda on Broadway Milly Shapiro, as well as Natalie Walker (The Big Gay Jamboree), Keri René Fuller (SIX: The Musical), Sara Gettelfinger (Water for Elephants), Luke Islam (13), and Patrick Nathan Falk. The title of the show stems from the name the tabloids called Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan in 2006. Set in the modern day, the musical follows Gen Z sleuths looking for information on an early 2000s one-hit-wonder who mysteriously vanished.

The musical features a book by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, music and lyrics by Breslin with additional music and lyrics by Foley. It is directed by and developed with Rory Pelsue and features choreography by Jack Ferver. The production includes scenic design by Stephanie Osin Cohen, costume design by Cole McCarty, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, and sound design by Megumi Katayama and Ben Truppin-Brown. Production Supervisor is Five Ohm. Casting Director is Judy Henderson. Clarissa Marie Ligon is serving as production stage manager.

The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse is produced by special arrangement with Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey of bb2.

The limited Off-Broadway engagement will play at The Pershing Square Signature Center, part of The New Group's 30th anniversary season. The final production of the season will be Bowl EP, written and directed by Nazareth Hassan. The show follows two young rappers and will feature original music. Bowl EP is a co-production with Vineyard Theatre and National Black Theatre, and it will run at the Vineyard.

Founded in 1995, The New Group is committed to producing "powerful, contemporary theatre." It was the original producer for Avenue Q, which eventually went on to win a Tony Award for Best Musical.
