Rosalie Craig will return to the West End to star in the upcoming London premiere of Doug Wright's Good Night, Oscar, set to play the Barbican Theatre beginning July 31 ahead of an August 6 opening night. The limited, seven-week run will continue through September 21.

Craig, who will star as June Levant, joins a previously announced cast that includes Sean Hayes reprising his Tony-winning Broadway performance as Oscar Levant and Ben Rappaport, reprising his own Broadway performance as Jack Paar. Also back from the Broadway bow will be Max Roll, who will again understudy Oscar Levant and Bob Sarnoff. Including Craig, the rest of the cast is new for this staging, with Daniel Adeosun as Alvin Finney, David Burnett as George Gershwin, Richard Katz as Bob Sarnoff, and Eric Sirakian as Max Weinbaum. Additional understudies will include Tashinga Bepete, Ben Butler, Charlotte Hunter, and Ryan Speakman.

"I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to the West End to join the company of Good Night, Oscar as June Levant," says Craig in a statement. "It’s a deeply compelling, razor-sharp piece of theatre, and stepping into this world alongside such a remarkable cast is a real privilege."

Craig was last seen on the West End stage creating the role of Bobbi in Marianne Elliott's Olivier-winning, gender-swapped revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company. She's currently preparing to star as Kitty Eckersley in Riot Women for BBC One.

The work, which takes place backstage and on set of a 1958 episode of the Jack Paar Tonight Show, with Levant picked as the headlining guest, made its world premiere in 2022 at Chicago's Goodman Theatre before bowing on Broadway in 2023; both starred Hayes as Levant. Hayes won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for the performance.

Lisa Peterson will return to direct after staging the Broadway bow.
