The Parts I Keep Inside

The Parts I Keep Inside: A New Musical from composer-lyricist Jeffrey Schmelkin has announced the cast and creative team for its two-performance run at Off-Broadway's Triad Theater July 9 and 11.

The production will feature Juan Castro, Moss Jones, Ashton Montgomery, Xavier McKnight, and Ryan Hudzik. The productions understudies will be Joseph Schiro and Karlin Smith.

The on-stage musicians will include Bobby Weil on piano and Evan Hyde on percussion. The full production team includes Rye Myers (of Rye Entertainment LLC) who serves as lead producer with Jeffrey Schmelkin as co-producer. Patrick B. Phillips will serve as music supervisor and Bobby Weil as music director.

The musical follows four characters that live inside the head of a music director who is attempting to find a sense of inner peace. In 2021, a song cycle version of the show played a sold-out performance at The Triad. This summer's presentations will present a new 90-minute musical version.
