Off-Broadway News Lena Hall Will Take Over as Audrey in Off-Broadway's Little Shop of Horrors

Christian Borle has also set his final performance in the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical at the Westside Theatre.

Lena Hall will join the cast of Off-Broadway's Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey beginning September 6. The Hedwig and the Angry Inch Tony winner will succeed original cast member Tammy Blanchard, whose final performance is set for September 4.

Hall's Broadway credits include Kinky BootsTarzanDracula The Musical42nd Street, and Cats, along with her Tony-winning turn as Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Current star and two-time Tony winner Christian Borle has also set his exit from the production for August 28, with Hamilton alum Andrew Call set to join the company as bad boy dentist Orin Scrivello beginning August 30.

Hall and Call will star alongside Tony nominee Rob McClure as Seymour, Stuart Zagnit as Mushnik, Aaron Arnell Harrington as The Voice of Audrey II, Khalifa White as Ronnette, Cristina Raé as Crystal, Khadija Sankoh as Chiffon, Eric Wright, Teddy Yudain, Josh Daniel, Michael Iannucci, and Chelsea Turbin.

The Off-Broadway revival resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

The revival, directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, opened in October 2019. The creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.

General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Ryan Gohsman.
