National Tour News Lauren Nicole Chapman is Frozen Tour's New Anna

An alum of the Disney musical's Broadway run, Chapman returns to the role after a stint as the Anna standby.

Lauren Nicole Chapman will join the North American tour of Disney's Frozen as Anna, beginning May 19 at The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Chapman returns to the role after time as the Anna standby on Broadway and tour, succeeding current Anna, McKenzie Kurtz.

Chapman will join a cast that includes Caroline Bowman as Elsa, Austin Colby as Hans, F. Michael Haynie as Olaf, Mason Reeves as Kristoff, Jeremy Morse as Weselton, and Collin Baja and Evan Strand sharing the role of Sven. Olivia Jones and Arwen Monzon-Sanders play Young Anna and Elsa (respectively), sharing their roles with real-life sisters Victoria Hope Chan and Natalie Grace Chan.

The cast also features Caelan Creaser, Jeremy Davis, Kristen Smith Davis, Colby Dezelick, Michael Everett, Berklea Going, Michael Allan Haggerty, Tyler Jimenez, Hannah Jewel Kohn, Marina Kondo, Dustin Layton, Nika Lindsay, Tatyana Lubov, Adrianna Rose Lyons, Michael Milkanin, Kyle Lamar Mitchell, Tony Neidenbach, Jessie Peltier, Naomi Rodgers, Brian Steven Shaw, Daniel Switzer, Zach Trimmer, Brit West, and Natalie Wisdom.

Based on the 2013 animated Disney film, Frozen features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and a book by Jennifer Lee. The musical opened on Broadway in March 2018, earning Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score. The Broadway production announced in May 2020 that it would not reopen post-pandemic. The London production officially opened September 8, 2021.

Frozen is directed by Michael Grandage, with choreography by Rob Ashford, scenic and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry, hair design by David Brian Brown, makeup design by Anne Ford-Coates, special effects design by Jeremy Chernick, and casting by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman and Laura Wade.

Stephen Oremus is music supervisor and creates vocal, incidental, and dance arrangements. He is joined on the music team by orchestrator Dave Metzger, executive music producer Chris Montan, additional dance arranger David Chase, and music director Faith Seetoo.
