Broadway News Haley Swindal Is New Matron ’Mama’ Morton in Broadway’s Chicago The international hit musical continues at the Ambassador Theatre.

Haley Swindal, who was seen in the 2013 revival of Jekyll & Hyde, steps into the role of Matron “Mama” Morton beginning March 4 in the Tony-winning revival of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre.

Swindal, who will continue through March 17, succeeds NaTasha Yvette Williams.

The Broadway production currently stars Veronica Dunne as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Tom Hewitt as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb, Chicago is now the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.
