Off-Broadway News Cellino v. Barnes Sets Final Performance Off-Broadway

After many extensions, the legal-themed comedy will end its run in March.

Eric William Morris and Noah Weisberg

Cellino V. Barnes, a new play that spotlights the wild partnership of injury attorneys Ross Cellino and Steve Barnes—from their rise in the 1990s, with a maddeningly catchy jingle, through their break-up in the 2010s—has extended its Off-Broadway run for a fourth and final time.

Written by Mike B. Breen and David Rafailedes and directed by Wesley Taylor and Alex Wyse, the production was originally scheduled to conclude October 13, 2024, and was previously extended three times. Performances will now end March 30.

The cast features Eric William Morris (White Girl in Danger, Mamma Mia!) as Ross Cellino and Noah Weisberg (Super Pumped, Elf) as Steve Barnes. Barrett Riggins is the understudy. “Playwrights Mike B. Breen and David Rafailedes have worked tirelessly over the last several years to get to the bottom of what really happened with Cellino and Barnes,” said producers Maxwell Beer and Mitch Marois of Mix and Match Productions in an earlier statement. “And sure, even though the real-life Ross Cellino is ‘not willing to be involved,’ we think Mike and Dave may really be onto something here.”

Cellino V. Barnes also features scenic and props design by Riw Rakkulchon, costume design by Ricky Lurie, sound design by UptownWorks, and lighting design by Aiden Bezark. Derrick Weishaar serves as creative consultant. Casting is by Geoff Josselson.

LDK Productions is the general manager, Rian Buksbazen is the company manager, Sarah Schetter is the production stage manager, and Emily Katherine is the assistant stage manager.

Cellino V. Barnes is produced by Mix and Match Productions with co-producers Rohit Gopal, Caitlin Berg, Katherine Brown, Jeffrey Morse, David Pochapin, and Cameron Koffman.
