International News Cast Set for 10th Anniversary Production of Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty

The U.K. tour, launching in November, will play 16 venues, including a holiday season in London.

Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty

New Adventures will present a 10th anniversary U.K. touring production of Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty beginning November 12–19 at the Theatre Royal Plymouth.

The gothic romance, which features a score by Tchaikovsky, will subsequently play The Lowry, Salford November 22–26 prior to a holiday season at London Sadler’s Wells, November 29–January 15, 2023.

The 2023 tour then continues to Milton Keynes Theatre; Theatre Royal, Nottingham; Wales Millennium Centre; Birmingham Hippodrome; New Victoria Theatre, Woking; The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford; Bristol Hippodrome; Liverpool Empire; Mayflower Theatre, Southampton; Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; Norwich Theatre Royal; Festival Theatre, Edinburgh; and Newcastle Theatre Royal, where it will conclude April 18-29.

Ashley Shaw will return to the role of Princess Aurora, joined by Katrina Lyndon, who will be making her debut in the role. Andrew Monaghan will play Leo with Stephen Murray and Rory Macleod both making their debuts in the role.

Paris Fitzpatrick, Jackson Fisch, and Ben Brown will make their feature debuts as The Dark Fairy, Carabosse, and Caradoc, respectively, while the Good Fairy, Count Lilac, will played by Paris Fitzpatrick, along with Dominic North and Christopher Thomas, all making their debuts in this role.

Completing the cast are original cast members Sophia Hurdley, Daisy May Kemp, and Danny Reubens, along with those making their debuts: Benjamin Barlow Bazeley, Stephanie Billers, Isaac Peter Bowry, Kayla Collymore, Jade Copas, Cameron Flynn, Shoko Ito, Kurumi Kamayachi, James Lovell, Enrique Ngbokota, and Bryony Wood. And, two New Adventures Emerging Artist Apprentices, Hannah Kremer and Perreira Franque, will both make their professional debuts.

Bourne directs and choreographs with set and costume design by Lez Brotherston, lighting design by Paule Constable, and sound design by Paul Groothuis.

New Adventures will also deliver workshops to dozens of schools in the local communities of its partner venues as part of the Schools Tour that will accompany the national tour.
