Off-Broadway News Cast and Creative Team Set for World Premiere of The Trojans

Loading Dock Theatre and the cell theatre are co-presenting the musical adaptation of The Iliad.

The cast and creative team have been revealed for the upcoming world premiere of Leegrid Stevens' The Trojans, co-presented by Loading Dock Theatre and Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre. Performances are set to run March 19-April 19 at the cell. 

The cast will feature Daphne Always, Roger D. Casey (Casablancabox), Bradley Cashman (Newsies), Deshja Driggs (Appropriate), E. Jim Ford (The Dreary Coast), Arya Grace Gaston (The Deuce), Emma Imholz (Inventing Gay Pop Pride), Emma Kelly, Alcorn Minor (Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell), Max Raymond (The Wolves), Jen Rondeau (Radioplay), Katherine Taylor, Sam Tilles (The Rise of Mediocrity), and Erin B. Treadway (Spaceman).

The Trojans features a book and original music by Stevens (War DreamerSpaceman). In the synthwave musical, warehouse workers re-enact the legendary tales of their home town’s high school glory days, loosely following the mythic heroes and demigods of The Iliad.

Eric Paul Vitale (The Sycamore Street Kite Flying Club) will direct the work, with music and vocal direction by Deena Kaye (Sound and Music for the Theatre: The Art and Technique of Design). The production will also feature lighting design by Christopher Annas-Lee, scenic design by Simon Cleveland (Spaceman), choreography by Mindy Rebman (The Dudleys), costume design by Ashley Soliman, and sound design by Will Watt.
